What to Expect

What’s church like here?

You might be wondering what it is really like at a typical Sunday morning service?

When you walk in there is a buzz in the air; people greeting one another, genuinely excited to see one another. No matter what your background, where you are at in your own spiritual journey – or even why you came – we’re glad you are here with us. From the moment you walk in, we pray that you feel it.

At SBC, we want to encourage you, help you, and inspire you to reach your God-given potential – and we do it in some creative ways. We welcome you to join us whether for the first time or the first in a long time.

SBC is known for its lively music, friendly people, and practical messages. We are also a great place for children and teens. Our services are led by a team of gifted musicians and vocalists, who creatively use their gifts and talents to lead people in worship. The friendly, worshipful atmosphere provides the opportunity for people to hear messages from the Bible.

How Long is an SBC Worship Service?

Our services are about 60 minutes and we work hard to make it a great part of your week. Sunday’s at SBC are exciting, casual and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

What Do I wear?

Wear something comfortable and expect to see people dressed just like you! Some of us dress up a little, and some of us dress very casually. So just come as you are!

My goal is to take God’s truth and present it in such a practical way that we come to know God better, and to make a difference in how we live life.
— Pastor John Tremblett

What do I bring with me?

You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re always welcome to bring a friend along, or just find a new one when you get here! If you are from the area, you will most likely already know some people once you get here.

What about my kids?

We have something planned for children from newborns to grade 5. Our nursery is open for little ones from newborn to age 4, and our Kindle Kids Church is open for children in Grades K to 5. For more information, check out our Next Gen Ministries page.

What kind of music do you play?

We use music to inspire, challenge and connect. You’ll hear a variety of music at SBC – everything from a familiar hymn to contemporary Christian music.

Am I going to be singled out?

Nope! Our sanctuary is designed so that you walk in from the back and can sit anywhere you like. Slide into a back seat, front row seat or anywhere in between. We usually have new people visiting almost every week and we know you’ll find people just like you.

How do i get connected?

Make sure to fill out a connection card while you are here so we can keep you up to date on all that is happening at SBC.
